We  are here to improve the lives of newborns, infants, children, and  adolescents with special needs. Our specialized services go beyond the traditional clinical and educational methods. 

No two individuals have the same skills or learning style.  That is why we create an individual learning or therapy program for every client.  Your plan may include Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and hippotherapy, in a way that works best for your loved one.  

Pediatric Speech Therapy

Speech therapist assess, diagnose, a treat problems related to:

  • Oral Motor Skills/Feeding
  • Speech and Language Skills
  • Articulation and Punctuation 
  • Fluency and Stuttering 


Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Pediatric Occupational Therapist treat children who experience difficulties with:

  • Fine Motor Activities - handwriting, using scissors, etc.
  • Normal Sensory Skills - improve tolerance of touch, movement, sight, sound, etc.
  • Performance of Self-activities - brushing teeth, combing hair, tying shoes, etc.
  • Cognitive Tasks - following instructions, etc.
  • Feeding Skills - sucking a bottle, chewing food, picky eaters, etc.


Pediatric Physical Therapy

Pediatric Physical Therapist assist children in developing and improving their mobility so they can safely, and effectively participate in daily activities. We provide Pediatric Physical Therapy for children with:

  • Developmental Delays
  • Gross Motor Delays
  • Decreased Coordination
  • Poor Balance
  • Abnormal Muscle Tone
  • Poor Muscle Strength


Hippotherapy
Hippotherapy is used as a treatment tool by our Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapist, who have received specialized training/education to improve children's:

  • Arousal, motivation, and attention
  • Balance and posture
  • Belief in one's functional capabilities
  • Bilateral integration and body awareness
  • Endurance
  • Expressive/Receptive speech and language
  • Improved range of motion
  • Modification of muscle tone
  • Neuromotor function
  • Timing/coordination of motor strategies


Therapeutic Horsemanship

In this therapeutic setting clients get to interact with horses either on the ground or while mounted.  It has multiple benefits for individuals with special needs including:

  • Participation in an enjoyable sport/leisure/recreation activity improving attention and awareness
  • Enhancing self esteem
  • Facilitating social skills and language/communication
  • When doing mounted activities improved balance, posture, strength, endurance, range of motion and movement
